Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 16, 2026Welcome to ETF Metrics ("we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit etf-metrics.com. We are committed to being transparent about our practices.
1. Information We Collect
ETF Metrics does not require users to create an account or submit any personal information. We do not collect names, email addresses, passwords, or any personally identifiable information directly from you.
Like most websites, we may automatically receive standard technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is collected passively through server logs and third-party analytics tools.
2. Data Sources
All financial data displayed on this website — covering both ETFs and individual stocks — is derived from custom computations applied to publicly available information gathered from various sources. For ETFs, with the exception of the previous close, ETF ticker symbol, ETF name, dividend value, and issuer URL — which were sourced and entered manually — all metrics are programmatically computed by aggregating publicly available data for each individual stock holding and weighting each value proportionally by its share of the ETF's total holdings. For individual stocks, metrics are computed directly from each stock's own publicly available financial data. We do not claim ownership of any underlying financial data, and all information is presented purely for informational and educational purposes.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies on this website. Specifically, we set a security cookie (CSRF token) to help protect form submissions and API requests from cross-site request forgery attacks. This cookie is essential for the site to function securely, is short-lived, and does not contain any personal information. We also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to collect anonymized usage data to help us understand how visitors use our site and improve the experience. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4. Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our website. Google AdSense may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
For more information on how Google uses data when you use our site, please visit google.com/policies/privacy/partners.
5. How We Use Information
The limited technical data we collect is used solely to monitor site performance, diagnose technical issues, and understand general usage patterns. We do not sell, rent, or share this data with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies independently.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data under laws such as the GDPR (Europe) or CCPA (California). Since we collect minimal data and do not store personally identifiable information, most of these rights have limited applicability. However, if you have any questions or requests, you are welcome to contact us.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
